Wednesday

It has been a normal Wednesday - duetting with Bill, followed by Tai Chi. Tonight is camera club and in between I have been following up on a number of tedious matters.
My image is a sculpture that I inherited from my mother (and father.) It was made by a woodworker called John Spielman, who lived very close to them in the same village in Hertfordshire. My parents bought several pieces from him the others going to my sisters. This one reminds me of the work of Brancusi, many of whose sculptures I also like a lot. This one has the added benefit of the patterns in the wood. It would have been father's birthday today so being able to look at the sculpture, which sits in front of my desk, evokes many memories.
