Suffolk pink

The pink house here is painted in Suffolk pink which is a traditional colour there. Next door is a pub we used to frequent - we drove by on our 1 hour drive from Southwold to the A 14 and dual carriageway. We got away by 8 am but still it was a tedious journey north. Gertie Google helped a bit to direct us away from one hold up but nevertheless it took us 7.5 hours to get home.

Happily our house is fine. We have electricity and got the Rayburn on as well as the coal fire. We won’t be going green any time soon. Katy and Colin are now Day 8 of no electricity. Finally the Tory County Council has, after great pressure, declared a state of emergency. One person died in the valley and a baby was born by torch light.
I opened the post and found a Driving license! Only 8 months of waiting. My eye test must have been ok. I’ll need some lessons after so long! Daughter says where’s the disused airfields when you need them - she used to practice on one near us when we lived in Suffolk.
