A Day In The Life

Mrs. C

No, not Mrs. Claus, Mrs. Cardinal. She looked so endearing perched on the edge of the birdbath warming her feathers in the sun, I couldn’t resist. She and the Mister flew in first thing to check out the breakfast spread before the hyper bluejay gang arrived for the peanuts. These two birds couldn’t be more different, and they remind me of the extreme personalities we sometimes find sitting around our holiday dinner tables • The Cardinals are polite and well mannered; they prefer the finer things life has to offer; they’re cultured and reserved, and would never make a fuss or a scene. In fact, if they encountered something disturbing, they would quietly leave, without a chirp. Think sipping wine in front of a fire • The Jays, on the other hand, are raucous and flamboyant. Whatever comes to mind is immediately expressed through their beaks. They’re big and proud and assume they are number one wherever they go. Unlike Cardinals, Bluejays create disturbances! Think belching beer drinkers • We now have a crooked little Christmas Tree :) • Oh, I will announce the turkey’s name tomorrow. Stay Tuned to this channel.
