Lorna Lloyd and Bethany Ray

Mr hazelh and I created this image today for a blog post at http://hazelhall.org to make public my exciting news <drum roll>...

... My colleague Bruce and I, along with our sound production specialist colleague Iain, have won funding to turn Lorna Lloyd's war diary entries (as featured in the Blipfoto journal LornaL) into a podcast series!!! We start recording in February, and we plan to launch the whole series of episodes at a public event in Malvern (where Lorna lived) on Tuesday 24th May 2022.

Lorna's great-great niece Bethany Ray will play Lorna in the podcast. Beth has a first class degree in acting, and turns 25 next year, the same age as Lorna when she picked up her pen to chronicle life in wartime Britain.  So, in my blip today I have a picture that brings together the diarist and the actor.

Apart from writing my blog post to announce the award of funding, I have been busy cooking. I have made a lasagne for supper tonight, and several Tupperware boxes of soup for the freezer (and us, eventually): cream of parsnip; carrot and lemon; and beetroot. I also had a lovey long telephone chat with my friend Sarah, who lives on the Isle of Man.

Exercise today: none.
