Ye olde ridge and furrow, just behind Tesco :-)

I've had two PCR tests today, one for the Covid Infection Survey team and another this afternoon. I booked the second one because I wasn't sure whether the infection survey one waits for the blood test result to come through before sending the results.

This evening I'm enjoying Turkey with Simon Reeve. We backpacked to Turkey in the late 70s, intending to travel through and onwards to India. But we were thwarted by 400% inflation in Turkey and the troubles  leading to the Shah of Iran's abdication. So we travelled around Turkey a little and then headed back home via Greece. It's hard to believe now, but in those days you could leave a job to travel for a while and then return, secure in the knowledge that you'd find a job quickly with no bother at all!
