Michael - 1974

I was a freshman in college and taking my first photography class in 1974.  We were studying portraits and had to create one for the class.  This is my nephew who was about 6 at the time.  Of course, it was made with a film camera and developed in the school's dark room.  I remember the sense of magic I experienced while I watched it develop in the tray.  I was hooked on photography from then on.  I visited my nephew and had a lovely chat and he let me photograph this photograph.  He was a talented young boy and I've included a drawing he made at around age 12 that he showed me.
