Rhymes with Pie

It's been quite a busy day. Inside Gustavo arrived at eight and put silicone around the tub and various other places while I sat in the office and coached John through the Zoom Pilates class. He usually watches me but I wasn't participating today because of my back. Spike sat in my lap.

We went to get some coffee and came back just as Inside Gustavo was leaving and Outside Gustavo was arriving with two other guys to finish digging the hole  for the olive tree...they found a pipe and some cement in the hole, capped the pipe and broke up the cement. They had to use a jackhammer for part of it. Pedro arrived with the tree we picked out and they planted it beautifully along with azaleas and red twig dogwoods in the front. Having waited until we felt we could use more water, it seems appropriate that today was a cold, dark, drizzling day.

Next door one one side they cut down the dead tree in the middle of yesterday's picture. The little dog, Patron, had a tartan coat on today. On the other side, work on the new pump house/ tank storage building, which is next to our driveway proceeds at a glacial pace.

David came by to install a  knob on the new pump house door. It got stuck several years ago and John had to break in to get it unlocked. David will be back tomorrow to install the toilet and the bath and shower fixtures.

It's been a lot of noise and disruption but these guys, inside and outside, are all such professionals and do such a good job that it was worth it.We are very happy with the results.
