wintry

I’ve not had much opportunity to take photos, as I was at work all day and then did the weekly shop. I was a little worried about what Storm Barra might bring but so far it’s just been cold, sleety and a bit windy, nothing like the night of Storm Arwen. It could be different at the coast or in Ireland, and it may be worse later on tonight; I don’t know. I’m thankful to be home by the fire, to have been fed and to have electricity and a nice bed to fall into later on.

A friend of D’s came to visit this morning and brought this Christmas card, a Japanese woodblock print from the 1850s. I like the fabrics and the womens ‘ shoes, keeping their feet out of the snow.
