Grey layers

Mild weather is moving in over our part of the world. The ground is still cold and hard so despite it being 5 degrees "warm", the sheet ice is lurking under the slush on top. I'm glad I chose to wear my wellies on todays walk, everything is very wet. The mist creates a totally different atmosphere in the landscape, all sounds are dampened and muffled. Quite pretty though, for a short while.
