Lunch at Da Kitchen Table

A day of dirt, gales and rain all day.  It's finally easing off tonight.

With such a horrible day, it was a lazy morning around the house.  Sammy didn't even want to go out.  Popped down the road for lunch, and also swung by Laura's too.  Working in the shop tonight, and hopefully get out walkies later.

Met up with mam and friend Viveka for lunch, two hours we sat chatting.  I've helped out Viveka in the past with some Shetland dialect projects, and she's been keeping us informed with her latest progress.  She's got Shaetlan (Shetlandic) recognised as an official language now, even a keyboard app for android.  She's also been working on a new updated Shetland Dictionary, with help from my cousin, Roy Mullay.  There's over 22,000 words they have put into the database manually, and all done voluntary.  Viveka and Roy really do need some kind of recognition for this work, as they are doing an amazing job helping to save what we have left.  Mam at Viveka at Da Kitchen Table, MacKenzie's Farm Shop, Cunningsburgh.

P.s. First time trying the new café food, it was amazing!
