Mahonia and bee

Another dull, overcast day. The only redeeming factor was a large bank of mahonia which was buzzing with hundreds of bees. An uplifting sight to see. You have to look carefully to spot the bee.

Our friends Al and Liz came over from Waltham Abbey today. They have a new car - a Kia E-Niro. Very smart. We had a short drive in it to a garden centre where we all bought something. My purchase was a set of LED battery Christmas lights to decorate my bike.

We were due to have Rogan Josh for dinner. All cooked yesterday with apple pie for pudding. Last night I took some stuff out of the freezer looking for something and omitted to return two meat pies we bought back from the local butchers in Currie, Edinburgh. So we had those pies, froze the curry and had to go and buy a new desert.
