Election canvassing

I went into Oswestry this morning as it was market day.  We have the bi election tomorrow after Owen Patterson's resignation due to the sleaze scandal.

We've never had anything happen at election time as he always had an unassailable majority so no political names arrived, in fact there was no  fuss at all.  As it could be very close this time and important for the fortunes of Boris Johnson, the constituency has been on tv news a lot recently.  I saw Whittington Castle on yesterday.  Many major politicians including Boris have been here although I haven't seen them.

In the market today there were two film crews (extra) and  the Labour candidate Ben Wood with visiting shadow cabinet member Lucy Powell MP (main blip). The Green Party candidate and his supporters were there too.  I expect the other parties were around this afternoon.

J went to visit my brother today and was pleased that he was able to eat proper food for the first time.  A good sign!
