Wound up in Wexford

Not a UK native, but there were lots of them at Pensthorpe today, and they were sitting quite happily by the path.  They were quite relaxed - Z commented that it was probably due to the absence of dogs, which are not allowed in to the park.

We have the pandemic to thank for the opportunity to take Z and S to Pensthorpe today.  They had been intending to leave us and travel down to London, but the friends they were due to see have Covid.  So we had an extra day of their company.

We had a lovely gentle wander around Pensthorpe, followed by lunch in the cafe.  And S was able to do some of his last minute Christmas shopping there.

This evening, W has cooked us a delicious aubergine and chickpea curry followed by a rhubarb and apple crumble.  And we had very mixed drinks - gin, wine, champagne, whisky and Baileys whilst playing cards.  Despite that, Z was able to add a few rows to her knitting before retiring to bed.
