Cigs

By Cigs

Just off Easter Road

I had to call a press conference to justify Cigscorp's inactivity in the past few months. Accusations of nepotism and cronyism abound. Its all untrue, of course. Just look at our record on the booster programme.

On Christmas Eve I set off early ( before first light, so about 0910) to track down a previously hidden gem. The keen eyed and the Onlyfans subscribers will have heard of the most recent find on the old Powderhall to Jocks Lodge line. Sadly, its largely obscured by nature reclaiming the side of the railway line and only recently has the foliage shed enough to be able to shoot this 2015 effort.

There's an easy entry over a wall at the back of the flats on Iona Street, and all was quiet, not a mouse was stirring as I trudged along the slippery sleepers to nab my target.

Its mostly in blue, the S is in white; was it dark? Did he mistake the can in the gloom? Was it poor planning and didn't bring enough of the one colour to finish the job?

Questions will be asked at his next press briefing.

Photo shoot done, I trudged on some more and ended up slithering up the embankment at Marionville Road, disappointed that I found more abandoned trolleys than Cigs.

If the plans come to fruition, this Cigs will gain wider appreciation.  There's a move to open the old railway line up as a cycle path connecting Jocks Lodge with North Edinburgh, cutting out Easter Road, Leith Walk, Bonnington Road and London Road. We can but hope the Cigs Preservation Society can get an order to preserve this artifact for posterity as part of the project.

The rest of the day was spent peeling sprouts, mulling wine and making pecan caramels.  All recipes will soon be available on the Cook with Cigs website

Merry Christmas,  one and all. Even Deli.
