Boxing Day Snow!

Much excitement this morning when we woke up to snow.
I’d seen it was snowing heavily before going to bed as I stayed up late to empty the dishwasher and put on a third load!

First job of course was to get into the garden to build snowmen. (Extra) Plural as they ended up with 5. It was so wet they were starting to topple almost before they were finished and everyone came in. Good timing really as they were all very wet and cold by then. ( I observed from inside being still in my dressing gown!)

It was great fun but it scuppered our plans for a walk on level paths so Eda could have her new pedal bike. Neither girl got their main present from Mummy and Day yesterday and the plan was to surprise Eda with the bike just before going out in the morning.

In the end they didn’t open them till just after Jude’s sleep and before we had our Boxing Day tea. Of course Eda wanted to go on it straight away. So Boppa, Uncle Alex and daddy took her down the road in the dark. She loved it and got the hang of it straight away as she has had a balance bike since she was two. She’s looking forward to going cycling with daddy.
No pictures as again I wasn’t going out and it was dark.

Whilst Jude had her nap mummy and daddy went for a run. Eda was allowed to watch a film. First she watched Superworm  - 4 times! She likes to act out the stories and changed from her fox suit to her fairy wings to become the butterfly, her pigtails being antenna, then later the frog. We then watched 101 Dalmatians. I liked this picture of her watching it with her new dog ‘Lucky’.

They’re packing up now to leave tomorrow morning, it goes so quickly! Hope you all enjoyed your Boxing Day holiday.
