Snow!

We woke to snow, and it snowed much of the morning amounting to maybe 2 inches. Then the sun came out and melted a lot of it even though the temp rose only to about 36F/2.2C. It's cold, and going to get very cold tonight - 23F/-5C, so any remaining snow and slush will freeze. More snow tomorrow night so the week is looking a bit iffy weather-wise.

A wander in the garden this morning enjoying the snow....this is Loropetalum chinense or Chinese Fringe Flower - a rather unique shrub if you've never run into it. It's evergreen hear, mostly, and has fabulous hot pink fringed flowers. But here it's wearing an unusual cloak of snow!

Sadly Izzy is feeling worse today. And unfortunately the vet's office closed early due to the weather. So I'll be on the phone early tomorrow. My guess is that she needs antibiotics. A very unsettling day.
