A feast of abundant love

I had this whacky idea, why don't we share communion, as though it was a feast? Why not share communion around a table that looks like we are about to have Christmas dinner?

Why not indeed?
We promised parishioners that we were feeding their souls not their bellies, that we were celebrating the 'reason for the season' - God's gift to us of Good News delivered by his son in human form.

It was a small gathering, so 2 sittings saw them all seated at the feast - sharing bread and wine amongst friends in a setting of abundance. The message was clear and appreciated.

As St Francis says 'preach the gospel at all times, use words if necessary.'
