Ready to roost

My last photos from 2021 were all taken in the grounds of Burghley House, Lincolnshire. We had a late afternoon walk - real blue sky for the first time in days, when we set off, and dusk by the time we left, and soon dark as we drove home to Family B's house.

The roosting rooks are my main blip and I'm glad I saved some Extras for more lovely trees (many were liberally laced with mistletoe), a bench built in 2003, pink pre-sunset clouds, and the tactile, deeply textured bark of an old tree.

We are baby-sitting tonight while Mr and Mrs B join their friends to see in 2022. Happy New Year, blipmates!

PS Spent all evening catching up on several episodes of "The Good Place". (We don't have Netflix at home, so carrying on from where we left off chez Family B.) It's sooo good!
