LMC Throwback

Happy New Year everyone - may 2022 be a whole heap better for the planet and her population than 2021.

This is a kind a cheats blip......

I had been gathering some images from my College days in the mid-late 70's which I found OK (great fun looking through lots of old albums though surprisingly, not too many from those years) but then the problem of how to get physical images into digital images when I don't have a scanner.  Easy solution - take pictures of the pictures which is exactly what I did.  This set of images largely centre on a very special day in our College careers - Half-Way-Day.....the day that was exactly half way through our course.  It fell in January and, though I didn't realise it at the time, the snow certainly added to the fun of the day.  It was a day when everything was done in halves......walk out of lectures half way through......dress in half this and half that etc plus a myriad of other pranks that the whole year group got involved in together.  Great fun, and a real lesson in bonding :D.  The mansion that can be seen in a couple of images was the heart of the campus (correction - it was the lungs - the bar was the heart!) and was pretty much the reason I chose to go to that College.  The idea of living and learning in an old 18th Century Mansion was irresisitible.  So - there we have it - a series of pictures taken today to welcome in the New Year but bringing back lots of memories of happy days indeed.
