Patience...

An image from the Bexley Wing (cancer treatment) of St James' Hospital in Leeds. I drove up there this morning with Cathy, an old friend.  Very fortunately for us both, we were not visiting either as patients or as patients' visitors.

The large Atrium entrance area of the wing includes an art exhibition space and Cathy's paintings have been hanging there for several months.  The exhibition will be taken down next week, and I knew Cathy wanted a photographic record, so we went off together to do that. There's a picture of Cathy herself in the extra.  She's originally from Leeds, and one of her sisters has been a patient in the Bexley wing recently. So it all has layers of meaning for her, in addition to her delight in seeing her work on display.

The atrium has a lovely light inside, and a very peaceful atmosphere. Cathy got talking to one of the visitors, a local GP who was waiting for his wife to emerge from a radiotherapy session.  She and he got into a long discussion about painting techniques, while I had fun with the camera.
