Forsythia

Forsythia is always associated with ushering in spring. Today I noticed I have some buds opening up on a rather large area of forsythia growing on the boarders of my property in two different places in my yard. The birds love hiding within the branches and even after their flowers have dropped off their leaves are a really nice shade of green.
It's funny how you can walk outside and hear dozens of different birds and yet you can't see a single one. Everyone once in a while you see one darting from shrub to shrub or tree to tree but they are really good a camouflaging themselves. I had picked up seed for my feeders and it was a different brand and the birds don't seem to like it. I can't believe I have picky birds!
