Sea and Sky

It’s hard to believe that the horizontal rain we battled through this morning has transformed into the brilliantly blue skies that allow the four of us yet another stunning beach walk this afternoon.

Today it’s Deganwy, another West facing estuary beach, seemingly vast and endless as the tide is low. Despite the apparent calm of today’s main, the wild is wild and we lean into it as we walk along towards West Shore. These are days I love, breathing ozone-rich air, sun and wind on my face, the sound of oyster catchers peeping over the rushing waves. Far out where sand almost imperceptibly turns to sea, kite surfers play the waves, jumping high into the air, and as we walk towards the Orme we see them battle to bring their sun-lit canopies ashore.

My main’s a mid-afternoon view towards the Carneddau, with other beach views in extras.

Thank you so much for your lovely comments, stars and hearts for Saturday’s Sands of Time. I’m still posting a day late, but as our friends go home today (Monday), I’m hoping to have caught up with both posts and comments soon!
