Shadows pointing to the Shard

Sunshine on the last day of 2021. We walked through Norwood Park, down the road we call the Avenue de Huw Edwards because we've seen him walking down it, to a cafe on Rosendale Road for coffee and a sandwich. Then, on to Dulwich proper and the new cheese shop – NOM! Fred sampled a fair bit and we purchased some lovely cheese that we scoffed this evening in celebration of the new year. We spent a super few hours with a couple of friends and their cat watching Jools Holland, Kylie, and the London fireworks (I thought they weren't happening?! and the messaging seemed a bit off kilter to me – all the "party" stuff and not much about caring). We also played Jenga and some stacking cats game that had us in all sorts of purrfect pickles.

On the walk home, I was surprised to see the pubs full of life with folk dancing. I'm conflicted – it was lovely to see people having a great time, but it's almost odd seeing people out and about together en masse during this time.
