4144 waits at Bodiam

Services on the KESR drew to an end for the current season with a members special running as an unadvertised last train today.

A fitting end to this season’s public timetable which began cautiously on 21st May (https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2842523081291861457 ) also with a members special that ran as the first train after lockdown restrictions were lifted.

In between those two dates we’ve been fortunate to run all our services including the fully booked Santa Specials throughout December. We’ve managed to come through the most unbelievable two years in better shape than we dared to hope.

The outcome of a public enquiry into the extension from Bodiam to a mainline connection at Robertsbridge is due early this year so we could be looking forward to interesting and exciting times in the next few years.
