Are Ewe looking at me?

Sunny .. again! Colder but we decided it wasnt too windy for Birkrigg Common. I dont know why but its been few years since we went walking there. Its only 20 minutes away , through narrow lanes.. and that was fun squeezing past cars and tractors.

There was snow on the distant hills but disappointingly hazy for a good photo. The ground was still hard when we set off but  as it the thawed it did get muddy in places.

It wasnt too busy although when we reached the main central path there were quite a lot of dogs ( with owners) .. luckily all friendly.

We kept Fletch in the long lead as there were a lot of sheep.. who were unconcerned as we walked past. They were all at the highest point relaxing in the sunshine.

We were out longer than usual and wished wed brought a flask.  A nice warming cup of coffee would have been nice when we got back to the car. A spare pair of shoes would have also been useful as mine were very 'clarty' with mud.

Back home and I gave the Celica a final clean as it is being 'rehomed' tomorrow, that is it will be if we can get out of the drive. There was a letter today from the council to say they are starting work in our small road tomorrow '  They are resurfacing the pavements and speed bumps which means people will have to move their cars from the far end tomorrow and no doubt theyll be outside our house.. Already one car is parked over the gateway! The work is going to take 70 days!!!!!  This may be a nuisance
