Hello Emmylou, goodbye heart

Alerted by The Old Grey Whistle Test, I first saw Emmylou  perform with the Hot Band in 1976. She was fresh and seemingly anchored to her counry roots. James Burton on guitar was a bonus. Then, twenty four years later we saw her at a one day festival in the grounds of Hopetoun House near Edinburgh. She was great, but also had moved on musically. I could just listen to her talk, nevermind sing. And she wears the best cowboy boots! (Usually white, sometimes with tassles.)
