Calculated Risks

We had a few errands to take care of in Perth today which we combined with a visit to the Museum and Gallery.  They currently have a Joan Eardley  on which I was keen to see.

The museum is never busy which allowed plenty of opportunity to stand and stare and enjoy. The exhibition included four coastline paintings done at Catterline in the last year or so of her (short) life. I hadn't seen these before and liked their boldness and vividness.

The town center wasn't busy so we treated ourselves to lunch in Breizh (which is the Breton for the people who live in  Brittany). I enjoyed a galette ecosse - a buckwheat crepe with smoked salmon. dill sauce and scallops. T had an open crayfish sandwich. It was lovely to eat something different (and not prepared by one of us).

A grand day out.
