Newbold on Stour

It was a fine, sunny day; still chilly but then it is January, fine enough to get us out for another village. Today it was Newbold on Stour near Alderminster.  We didn't actually do a lot of the village as there was an inviting looking path at the end of the road we parked on.  This turned out to be a permissive footpath leading straight into the countryside.   It was tarmacked though banned to normal traffic and flat and had wide open spaces on either side, a lovely walk which enabled us to have a good mud-free walk.  On return we had a little look round the village green.

On our way back into the village Ann spotted a bird on a rooftop which flew over and perched on a telegraph pole.  Unfortunately the bird had its back to us and there was no way of getting round to the front, but I waited a while taking pics and it eventually turned its head our way, this was the best shot I could get, I've put it in the extras.  A friend identified it for us as a juvenile buzzard.
