A blissful summer day

There was almost no wind this morning, the air was so still. My washing dried due to the heat and evaporation. The yacht on Kawau Bay beyond the cliffs in front of the house, shows a very small wake as it edged its way in front of Hauturu, offically known in English as Little Barrier Island, and in Te Reo as Te Hauturu-O-Toi, which translates as the place of lingering breezes.

I had the good fortune to see this sight and enjoy it and the warmth of the sun, despite being sat inside facing a screen for zoom meetings and responding to emails. As soon as the working day was over, we packed the car and returned to the new home. And a quiet evening
