Wound up in Wexford

On the waterfront at Waterford

We woke to a glorious day.  Poached eggs for breakfast.  Then we drove out to recce some stuff.

We're still very interested in the last house we saw on our previous trip, which is still on the market.  But we are a bit concerned about how rural it is.  So one thing we tried today was to drive from the house down to Waterford.

A very comfortable 8 miles.  We parked up on the riverside, found Dooley's hotel, where we had a late lunch.  I had prawn and mussel tagliatelle - very tasty.  W had chowder, really enjoyed it, but subsequently (when he kept on enjoying it!) decided it had perhaps been overly rich.

From Waterford we drove up the motorway to Knocktopher, where we charged the car, and then back to our little cottage.  We really like the countryside around here.
