This morning was very exciting for The Mate, he was collecting his Land Rover! He needed some repair done in order for it to pass an MOT in 2020 so he sent it  to a repairer for a new chassis. After that he wanted it resprayed so it went to another person. Then he wanted his local garage to pick it up and run some tests on it.

It was finally ready for him to drive away. It's only taken 18months!

He picked me up on the way to the garage as he'd had the use of my Jimny since September (the one I bought from him). Sue's Suki, as we call it. He will be very happy now (even happier if he hadn't caught our cold at new year!).

This afternoon I waited at the Studio for an electrician. He'd been sent by Brithish Gas. The third one!
The first one installed a smart meter back in October. Our night storage heaters came on during the daytime tariff.
The second one reported that the first one hadn't installed an Economy 7 meter and replaced it. The heaters didn't work at all.
Finally, today the third one said the second one hadn't configured it correctly to run the storage heaters and replaced it with an older type of smart meter. I sat in the cold and dark for an hour during the change-over. So, three meters later - will it work? I'll know tomorrow.
