A time for everything

Cattails by the pond

Saturday
This morning we had an extra choir practice, or choir workshop, at church, from 9.30 till almost noon. Unfortunately we were a bit thin on the ground, with two people missing, having been exposed, or possibly exposed to Covid, as well as others missing for several reasons. However, despite our low numbers, we made some good progress. On the way home, we stopped at the library and to pick up more bird seed. When we got home we had a coffee and called my brother and sister in law, since we hadn’t spoken since Christmas Day. I then made us some Broccoli and Stilton soup for lunch, with some freshly baked rolls. We then went for a walk around Pioneer Park, partly to get a blip, and partly to get some exercise in before the Cincinnati Bengals game which was being televised. We’re not great American football fans usually, but this was a big game, and resulting in their first “play-off” game win in 31 years, so the city has been excited for the possibility all week So now they advance to the next round. The stadium was packed, but it was a very cold afternoon, well below freezing by the time the game ended, so we were very happy to be watching from the warmth and comfort of home!
