Teimheil

Another bright albeit cold day. After much humming and hawing, we decided to head over to Loch Rannoch to follow the Allt na Bogair Trail in the Carie woods.

The walk was interesting not least for the sheer scale of forestry operations taking place but the drive there and especially back was considerably more scenic.

We had another lovely sunset on the way back and stopped at the Queen's View on Loch Tummel.

Tummel comes from the Gaelic Teimheil which means darkness, which is a reference to the thickly wooded gorge which the river runs through.

We have been drawn to Forest Walks as we have juts finished Black Spot on Netflix, a French crime drama in which the nearby forest makes its presence felt. It started off well but supernatural happenings become more dominant as it progressed and ending was somewhat unsatisfactory.
