Day Six: Evening, incoming tide….

The day started out cloudy, and hot when cloud cleared. Then we had a gusty wind change and colder temperatures. This evening I took a walk around the estuary track and road to try out a pre-packed “Macpac” day pack. It is very comfortable to wear. I am very pleased with it. I sidetracked to the mouth of the estuary and photographed the in-coming tide. Margaret’s partner, Steve, arrived from Wellington yesterday. He, Emily and her friend Perry spent time today sorting gear and food for a two night camp-out at Anchorage in the Abel Tasman National Park. Steve’s brother, Ian arrived from Nelson this evening. Our campsite is a busy place.
