Between a rock and a....

milk churn! You may have to use the magnifying glass to see the tortoiseshell cat sunning itself in the grass.

The rock is Garn Fawr, a volcanic outcrop that commands a 360 degree view over sea and land on the coast west of Fishguard. So prominent is the rock that it was fortified prehistorically as a defended settlement, and in World War One it again functioned as a look-out point for enemy movements.

The old churn is left over from the farm that's now converted into holiday lets.
The cat may be a descendant of the tumble of kittens I once saw emerging from a dilapidated barn here years ago.

It has been a beautiful sunny day.
