Out In The Fields

A bit of a disjointed day today as I had to get a load of plumbing gear for Gary who is finalising the fix for shower and sink in the new utility. Then I had to go back to the builders yard to return and exchange parts that were wrong. Frustrating but I got it done, then took Hollie out for a long and muddy walk over Perton Woods. In the woods are many remains of old structures, being a throwback to when Perton was an airfield that saw service in World War ll. It is a fascinating and haunting place. I remember it when it was an active airfield. Before it became the vast housing estate that it is now, with over 10,000 souls living there.

The main image shows the frozen flooded fields on the outskirts of the 'village'

The extra shows another sunset scene; a tree that is being devoured by ivy; a very mucky spaniel; and one of the many unprotected underground chambers, waiting to devour the unwary!

Did you know that Harper Lee had a serious drinking problem?

Surely it's true, otherwise why did he write the classic 'Tequila Mockingbird'?
