Ta Dah!

The snow had melted quite a lot by the time I had the opportunity to get out and photograph the mountains. The Torlesse Range was looking great, but there was very little snow on the other ranges I can see. Even the southern end of the Craigieburns, which are further into the Alps, was almost bare.

I could have blipped any part of the Torlesse Range, but I chose this because of that strange cloud. The big peak on the right is Otarama, and in the centre is Back Peak.

Looks good in large.

There has been no sunshine down here today. It definitely feels like autumn.

There was a fantail in my garden this morning, the first I have seen here since last autumn. I hope it stays for a while.
