Cool for cats

A new experience for me today - we went to a cat cafe! 'Neko' is the Japanese word for cat, and a neko cafe is where you go if you can't own a pet, but would like to spend time with one (or 30).

The owner rescues stray cats and brings them to live here. Customers pay to visit the cafe for 90 minutes and can have coffee, tea and food while the cats play around them. A range of cat toys are helpfully provided as well.

I'm not sure whether this cafe would pass the H&S rules in the UK. Customers have their hands and feet sprayed with alcohol on entering, but this is to protect the cats.

I'm not really a cat person, it has to be said, but some of our party really enjoyed their visit. You can see Luke here with a handsome ginger cat called Egg.

How many cats can you spot in the photo?
