GRIP

Artwork by Antony Gormley stands on the rocks in front of Saddell Castle and at high tide is in the water. I love seeing him on our morning walk.
He is one of five placed around the UK and planned to stay for a year and then be sold but he was bought by an anonymous person and given to the trust, so he remains at Saddell.
Walked around the grounds of Torrisdale Castle and had a coffee sat outside on the terrace.
Picked up a bit of shopping in the village store, so expensive compared to supermarkets and the milk and cream came in glass bottles which we can return.
The afternoon was spent reading, playing games and walking on the beach.
Looking out of the window I spotted a couple of heron and an egret, although the photo is through the window and therefore not great, it was nice to see.
We managed to get some tonic at the shop so going to try the gin we bought yesterday.
