Eranthis hyemalis (winter aconite)

Oh woe is me, I have so much to do! Even though I got up and started work super-early again, I didn't manage to get through half the tasks that I set myself. This means that I will need to work tomorrow on a day that I hoped to be off.

In the middle of the day I popped out to pick up a copy of our next book group book from the library: Second chance by Rachel Cusk. I turned this outing into a walk so that I could enjoy some daylight, exercise a little, and find a blip. The aconites on the cycle path captured my attention. They grow where Roman soldiers have shed blood, apparently...

Exercise today: walking (9,681 steps).
