Mended tap

Our recent guests have been too polite to mention it, but the hot tap in our back bedroom has been under-performing. Today the plumber visited to put this right, and now the water flows freely - hurrah!

In the end, I worked all day. My achievements were to:

1. Complete PhD exam paperwork.
2. Help Marina and Rachel write statements for an internal competition.
3. Edit a conference paper for Marina.
4. Provide extensive feedback, plus some edits, on a conference paper for Bruce.
5. Check and update the final version of a journal article manuscript for Leo.
6. Field email.

I am looking forward to attending a work-related (but kind of recreational) event online this evening.
