There's Always One!

Crocus laevigatus is thought of as an autumn flowering crocus.   It  has  a   long flowering season across islands off the Greek mainland, this form from Tinos is notable as a spring flowering form ....  also a very beautiful one.

Narcissus cantabricus var  petunioides in extra pic also really caught the eye.

After church -  rare attendance lately as the late nights take their toll - I pottered around at home before taking Meg down to the beach for a run.   The rest of the day became more complicated when Jamie's support was unable to attend.    He  came to mine for a late lunch -  Fajitas - swiftly followed by a visit from my brother Steve and his wife who I haven't seen since early 2019.  Really great to catch up with them, a couple of hours passed very quickly.   When they arrived I was only part way through preparing a gluten free lemon cake as Jackie cannot have gluten. Thankfully there was plenty of time and the cake turned out delicious.    Now chilling at Jamie's after helping him with tidying and washing up.  Another good day.
