Riverside Tree

I couldn't put it off any longer ... I needed to do the weekly shop.  A funny thing happened on the way though; I found myself walking round some muddy fields on the opposite side of the Thames to Runnymede at Ankerwycke.  I found the Ankerwycke Yew, thought to be over 1,400 years old, and the ruins of St Mary''s Priory, both surrounded by emerging snowdrops (extra).

Walking back towards the car along the banks of the river I spotted this lone tree with its reflection on the Runnymede side, which just had to be my shot of the day ... it really needs to looked at large
