Out There

Today’s Blip speaks for itself, almost.

It was taken in St Stephen’s Green, the scene of one of the battles of the Uprising. The other leaders were executed by the British, and her death sentence was commuted to life imprisonment on account of her sex.

One of the Extras is also from the Green. It is Henry Moore’s homage to Yeats. Also popular among the local rats with wings.

Another is Marsh’s Library, Ireland’s first public library (1707). It has been used by James Joyce, Bram Stoker and Walter Scott.

Finally, an interior shot from Fallon’s Capstan Bar just 200m from my hotel. It is highly rated in my guide book so I may pop back later. I need to go to the ATM anyway.
