The Whare Hui

Started today with a zoom meeting, phone calls, and emails. Then went into the unit as today was the last day in my roles as DAMHS and as Lead Clinician. Staff wanted to formally farewell me, even though in four weeks I will return part time.

As I was leaving after the farewell, I took this photo of the meeting room (house), part of the area for the Kai Atawhai staff, the cultural service for Maori, who also help with others. It was a low key affair, much to be preferred over the more elaborate process senior management had envisaged and did not happen last week.

The extra is shortly after I had got off the train at Glen Eden, which I felt symbolised the end of five years in various senior roles. When I start filling gaps in the service, that will be my only role.
