Territory

Yesterday, arch-Turfer CSL (aka CorvidFiesta) took the Penicuik Estate Turf zones that I've held since early January. So, on a morning of strong winds and rain that wasn't the best for visiting the Estate, I took Django out to retake them. This, for example is ToRome, on the faux-Roman bridge over the Esk. Fortunately the cows (see extra) were just outside the Pondering zone, allowing me to take it. As always, Django was recovering territory in his own way by being the most recent dog to pee at (many) important points. The analogy with Turfing is best not explored!

Back home, I relaxed, watching bits of the curling - well done Italy - and agonizing at Kidderminster Harriers' cruel elimination from the FA Cup. Then came the more serious business of the 6 Nations, as Ireland looked excellent in demolishing Wales. The Calcutta Cup starts in less than 30 minutes and, as always, I'll be pleased if England play well and win, but be happy with a Scottish victory, if they don't.
