Venus and Cupid, Morecambe

Had to go down to Morecambe today (The car had a callback for a replaced timing belt) - while they were working on it we popped into Lancaster to do some shopping, and visited the front at Morecambe - the whole day was heavy drizzle, so getting a pic wasn't easy. I decided the sculpture of Venus and Cupid (also known as Love, The Most Beautiful Of Absolute Disasters) looked great, but the plain white sky wasn't doing anything, so I shot a close up of one of the big rocks placed to prevent wave damage, and substituted the sky with that.

I think it worked.

Love, The Most Beautiful Of Absolute Disasters, popularly known as Venus and Cupid is a sculpture by Shane A. Johnstone which stands on a slight promontory beside Morecambe Bay on the eastern approach to Morecambe
