In the Pink

Although the weather has turned quite miserably cold there are quite a number of roses which continue to bravely flower in our garden.
I cannot recall the name of this pink rose but it has beautifully shaped buds and it has a lovely perfume. I picked a bud of it and photographed it using my point and shoot camera rather than getting out the Nikon 105 mm macro lens and thus getting into a long session.
The image was a little soft for my liking so I delved into Photoshop and had a bit of a play with some of the filters. I rather like the understated finished effect.
