Growing

Our regular day with Frieda today. She wasn't at her best, really: more tired than usual, more inclined to lose it a bit when anything didn't quite go her way. So perhaps she's brewing up a cold. She's normally very good-humoured.
Despite that, we had a good time, just pottering around in the house, playing with toys and chatting. I had bought a Fuzzy Felt set of dinosaur items to play with, knowing that she's arrived at the dinosaur phase. But what a disappointment...! Not the robust but soft shapes I remember from childhood, but a much more flimsy and less tactile affair.  More like heavy-duty paper than felt, and therefore not likely to last for long.  It would be better to buy the proper materials and make it all at home (lesson learned).

When I took her home, she was delighted to show me the seedlings that Jack and Marianna have started off with her, spread out around windowsills and small tables.
