High Level Bridges

J had a horrible journey back from the hospital yesterday. A multi vehicle crash on the motorway meant lots of emergency vehicles and the opposite carriageway closed so the air ambulance could land. She sat in her stationary car for over two hours whilst the mess ahead (fortunately out of sight) was dealt with.

Today Storm Eunice arrived, and so she would not be so anxious about the journey I accompanied her. We crossed the Mersey and Ship Canal going on the Thelwall viaduct (top in the montage), but returned via the Mersey Gateway toll bridge (bottom). A three motorway, 30 mile journey.

In between times, whilst J was inside the hospital, I sat in the car listening to twigs dropping onto the car roof. That was fine, the trees were fine. And we are always glad to get to the end of these weeks. Home made pizzas to celebrate.
